It’s true: occasionally I actually draw a comic. This one’s another blinky-vision. If you like, feel free to stop by Stumptown Comics Fest the last weekend this month. Whale whale whale, look at that. Buns And Wieners jam comic number one is done, and it only took 14 months. This is the one that started it all. Check it out, I invented a new type of comic: blinky-vision. It’s pretty impractical, in that you have to hold it up to your face and blink alternate eyes to get it to animate, but I think that’s part of the fun. This one started a little larger, but you know how Tumblr is with images, so if you want to see it full-sized, go over to my site and look for the link in the comments under the comic. Thanks to my friend Keith, this is also going in Excalibur, the campus newspaper of York University. He has his own comic, Adventuresome, but he also does work for Excalibur. It’s the second one I’ve done for them, but the first was print-only so you probably haven’t seen it unless by some astonishing coincidence you attend York.

Oh wow!!! So, you guys remember Buttzine (that link is NSFW, unless your workplace is a-okay with a lot of cute butts)? And the drawing I drew to get in? I didn’t get in, and that was a little sad, but the book exists now! The drawing I attempted to get in is included above.

And DANG I got to meet a super, SUPER nice gentleman by the name of @crashsuit (on twitter). He saw my submission and that I didn’t make it in and gave me some really kind words. Now he did make it in, and then he offered to give me his extra copy!!!

I am blown away by his kindness, and this book is so much fun. He even drew on the envelope! I love drawings on envelopes! He also mailed it to @AngieArts which I thought was really cute.

Starship Troopers comics. I watched all four (yes, four!) Starship Troopers movies inside of a week, and not only did I have more laughs than I’ve had in a long time, I got a couple comics ideas. If it looks different (i.e. worse than usual) it’s because it’s the first one I’ve done in Manga Studio.

Here you go: a comic I’ve been meaning to draw all month but only just got around to earlier today during lunch. My website’s down for some maintenance or something, no big deal, but good thing or I probably would’ve forgotten to put it here for at least a week. Sadly, the Batman one is real, and if you google it you will know why I said “sadly” instead of “awesomely”.
